SO, WHERE ARE WE NOW?
Well, on the social side we have a 4 day trip to mid Wales
in June, 10 days in Southern Ireland in September, and a weekend away in July
and August, plus the regular monthly F.D.H.V.C. Sunday runs.
Also to be fitted in are
replacement sills, new
engine mountings and front suspension overhaul on the Flying 8, routine
maintenance and ongoing repairs on the Selby, and of course, finish the rebuild
of the Flying 12.
2003 is the centenary of the formation of the Standard Motor Company, which will be celebrated with a number of events throughout the country, including a Round Britain Relay. And who knows, this could be the debut of a rebuilt Flying 12!
